A native of Morton, IL, Al graduated from Morton High School before attending Illinois Central College to study electrical work and completing the Electrical Apprenticeship Program. With newfound knowledge under his belt, Al, along with his brother Ed, transformed a building on their family farm into the first office for Kaiser Electrical work in 1989. In keeping with their humble beginnings, Al and Ed were the only two employees to begin with. The Kaiser brothers worked hard to adapt to changing business conditions and sought out efficient and satisfactory ways to meet customers’ needs. The Kaisers' goal was simple: to learn something new every day. They poured their hearts into the business, began hiring excellent team members, and started to see their hard work pay off. By 2003, Al was the sole owner of the Kaiser business.
Today, Al has grown his business from two employees to over 60 and from Central Illinois to eight states across the Midwest. Al believes his company has grown because, “we listen, observe, study, learn and do whatever it takes to ensure its long-term success and well-being while providing great customer service and a place where people are proud to work.” If you're wondering why Al always says he’s, “living the dream,” he'll tell you:
“I love what I do and have an unwavering passion and dedication for it. This business is more than just a career—it’s my vocation. I am always searching for better ways to do everything that we do and so many others have had a role in helping me achieve this. Good servant leadership and empowering others are skills that I have learned from my wife, Brenda, family, friends, and mentors. These are traits that now encompass all aspects of my life.”Al Kaiser
Dan came to Kaiser in 2013 as a residential apprentice after graduating from Illinois Central College where he studied Business Management. As our purchasing manager, Dan is responsible for the purchasing and receiving of material as well as vehicle maintenance. Handling tremendous volumes and numerous details, it’s understandable that the question he’s most likely to ask co-workers is, “You got a minute?”
Dan is originally from Brimfield, IL, but hangs his hat in Laura, IL these days. He and his wife, Lindsy, have a beautiful son, Jacob. When he’s not making memories with his family, he can be found enjoying the great outdoors in his free time. From backpacking to kayaking, he loves a good adventure.
Growing up as the daughter of Al Kaiser, Courtney dreamt of walking in her father’s shoes and becoming an electrician. In a twist of fate, she majored in Accounting, following in her mother’s footsteps, and graduated from Illinois State University in 2012. She became an official member of the Kaiser team in 2012, but had grown up alongside the team in the office. Courtney handles day-to-day operations as the assistant office manager. With a busy schedule and a helpful spirit, she’s the first one you’ll often hear saying, “Does anyone else need a Diet Coke?”
A Morton native, Courtney and her husband, Colin, chose to raise their son, Aiden, in the peaceful town. Summer is her favorite time of year. Her favorite activities include bike rides, relaxing by the pool, playing pickleball, and winding down in the evenings with some back porch sitting.
If you flip through any one of Josh’s old yearbooks, you’ll see his life goal since kindergarten has been to become an electrician. He has been with Kaiser since 2006 starting as just a “shop kid.” Josh left Kaiser in 2007 when he went into the Electrical Apprenticeship Program, but returned in 2010 and completed the program in 2012. As a commercial and fuel systems project manager, Josh is responsible for project scheduling, coordination, and management. From the first meeting with the client to job completion, Josh keeps everyone informed and on-task to ensure excellence. Communication is critical in his role, which is why he’s often heard saying, “Just so you know…”
Josh and his wife, Brandi, live in Washington where he grew up, and they are now raising a son of their own, Declan. He cherishes every moment of being a new father by spending time on vacations, exploring the world, and creating new memories by watching his son learn. When he isn’t building memories with his family, Josh can be found in his garage working on cars or tinkering with broken gadgets.
A native of Canton, IL, Brent has many responsibilities at Kaiser Electrical Contractors as the renewable energy manager, customer liaison, and a designer for residential and electronic customers. Since 2005 when he joined Kaiser as a residential electrician, he’s come to realize that in order to provide the best service, design, and management, everyone benefits from careful attention to detail and doing it right the first time—summed up by his famous phrase, “Slow down.”
Education plays an important role in Brent’s adult life. He graduated from Spoon River College with an associate’s degree in 2014, and he is a current student at Western Illinois University majoring in General Studies with a minor in Pre-MBA. Brent and his wife, Sarah, have two children – Elle and Jordan. When he isn’t studying, he and Sarah can be found rooting Elle on at her volleyball games. He’s also a proud parent boasting of Jordan’s career as a Lance Corporal in the US Marine Corps.
After graduating from Spoon River College, Jake joined Kaiser in 2002 as an electrical apprentice and became a residential project manager in 2006. He meets with customers in the field and supports on-site layout, design, and estimation needs. While Jake’s busy schedule means that he’s often out of the office, we always know when he’s heading out as we hear his trademark farewell greeting, “Toodle-do!”
Jake leads a very active life in Dunfermline, IL. Every Monday night he’s found pitching horseshoes, and he has a passion for coaching his son’s baseball team in the spring. Through the fall and winter, you won’t see him without his green and yellow on as he’s a huge Green Bay Packer’s fan. Jake and his wife, Jenny, spend as much time with their children, Olivia and Luke as possible.

Mark joined Kaiser in 2012 and served as a residential project manager since 2017; he has over 13 years of experience as an electrician. He works daily to coordinate, schedule, and oversee residential projects to excellence. We would tell you a little more about Mark, however as we all say, he’s a man of few words.
During baseball season, Mark is heard cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He is also a devoted family man. He has a loving wife, Sarah, and two children, Dalton and Kobi. He stands out at work and in his community in Mackinaw, IL because of his sincere compassion and respect toward everyone around him.
As an estimator, engineer, and design-build specialist, Josh has been an important part of Kaiser since 1997 when he began the Electrical Apprenticeship Program as a commercial project manager. He has grown with the company over 21 years, gaining electrical experience and is appreciative of the mentorship received. He’s often overheard saying, “Ed Kaiser made me who I am.”
Josh grew up in Roanoke, IL, but now calls Metamora, IL home. He and his wife, Jenny, have an adventurous son, Job. Josh feeds Job’s adventurous personality by taking him on ATV rides as often as he can. Being a huge Chicago Bears fan, he and his family are seen rooting the team on when not being active outdoors.
As the residential, commercial, facilities, and equipment manager, Mike wears many important hats at Kaiser Electrical Contractors. He has always enjoyed taking on new challenges, and since 2006, his responsibilities have increased and have been appreciated by both co-workers and customers. The phrase often overheard from Mike is, “You got two minutes?” One minute would never be enough!
Mike was raised in Yorkville, IL and eventually moved to Peoria, IL to attend Bradley University. He and his wife of 10 years, Suzanne, now reside in Metamora, IL. The happy couple has been blessed with four children – Isaac, Adam, Natalie, and Evan.
Luis is a Kaiser veteran, working as a team member for over 24 years. With all those years of experience, Luis has become a highly skilled electronic technician and programmer. He installs various electronics for residential and commercial customers and manages a multitude of jobs for customers.
Luis was born in Los Angeles, California, and eventually made his way to Central Illinois. He now calls Morton, IL home where work is conveniently in his backyard. Luis is a hard worker, but equally, he is a family man. Raising four boys is no easy task, but he’s managing like a pro!
Bill joined the Kaiser family in 2006 and has excelled as a residential project manager specializing in residential remodeling jobs. He comes from a family of hard workers who aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty working in a variety of construction industries. Luckily for the Kaiser team, Bill chose the electrical field.
Bill is an Illinois native who was born and raised in Bartonville, IL. Growing up along the Illinois River, he had a rich childhood and couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Once he and his wife, Yvette, were married, they bought a charming house and settled in Mapleton.
